This ranch-style home built in the mid 1960s desperately needed a new roof replacement. From the outside, you could see that some of the plywood was buckling underneath the existing shingles. To start we stripped the existing roofing materials and replaced 8 full sheets of plywood decking. Then, we laid down G Ice & Water Shield to protect the interior of the home from any outside moisture. For shingles, we installed TruDefiniton Duration Shingles in the color Quarry Gray. In any home, it is important to have ventilation int he attic so that no moisture or mold builds up. To ensure top-notch consistent attice ventilation we installed a VentSure Ridge Vent. 

This customer in Stafford Springs, CT reached out to us to about their roof on a rental property they own. This very old roof was in need of a replacement. There were missing shingles and leaks between the dormers. To protect the home and prevent leaks in the future, we first replaced any damaged plywood decking and laid down our Klaus Larsen Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. We also replaced the skylight with a brand new Velux skylight with Laminated, low-E, "Clean, Safe, Quiet" glass with a Velux factory flashing kit. It's ideal to install brand new skylights at the same time as a new roof install as it's very difficult to re-flash an existing skylight.
