Upon inspecting this Pawcatuck house, we noticed water leaking in through the attic. There was heavy snow blanketing the home, which was aggravating a preexisting fault in the roof. Armed with shovels, we got to work and it was out with the old, in with the new. We also installed a solar fan, to improve ventilation and reduce any issues in the future. We went over the Connecticut border to Johnston, Rhode Island to finish this classic home. A cedar shake roof was installed to keep this house looking how it was intended, but with modern reinforcement. If you live in or around the CT area, we'd love to provide a free estimate.
Here was a historic building that has been presiding over the Lebanon Town Green for well over a century – The Lebanon Baptist Church. Its roof was in dire need of reparation, and Klaus Larsen was eager to take on the job. This project was unique in how we installed a complete new 1/2" CDX plywood deck over the existing structural framing, which created a vented roof deck sandwich (plywood, ISO boards and furrings). We are honored to be among the craftsman that have contributed to the preservation of this town's history.
This ranch style home in Scotland, CT was in need of a roof replacement. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing material, we replaced all damaged or rotted sheets of plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of ice & water barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. We also taped all roof deck joints with flashing tape, in accordance with the recent building codes. In terms of shingles, we installed IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Earthtone Cedar. Lastly, we removed the existing chimney flashing and replaced it with brand new lead flashing.
