This hipped roof in Norwich had tongue and groove boards underneath the roof instead of plywood. Boards will often be found in older homes build in the 40's and 50's. Some boards were damaged and needed to be replaced before the new Asphalt Estate Gray roof was installed. The roof, ridge vent, chimney flashing, and a flat roof section were all replaced on the same day!

Installing a full roof on this Victorian house in Willimantic was a great honor and privilege for us. The complex style of architecture along with the turret required a highly proficient roofing company, and we were happy to oblige. All of the plywood needed to be removed and replaced, as part of a complete overhaul. Here was a Willimantic Victorian, with two apartments under one roof. Tenants were experiencing some leaking, and the landlord called Klaus Larsen to determine the cause of the problem. We consistently advise staying away from using 3-tab shingles, which lay side by side and are non-dimensional. They typically blur the line between an inexpensive and 'cheap' product. This roof was replaced with Duration architectural shingles, with Mule Hide purpose made flat roofing on the front shed roof deck.
