Brand new metal roof installation and decking layer repair in Harwinton, CT

For this job, our team went to this awesome farm in Harwinton. The Wood family, also known as the farm owners, were in dire need of a new sheet metal roof for their main building. The original sheet metal roof had started to rust in several areas and around most screws. This rust opened up holes for water to find its way into the building.

We ripped up the original roof along with certain sections of the decking layer. We only had to patch some of the plywood sheets as most of the roof was still reusable which saved the Wood family money. After the new sheets of plywood were down we installed the underlayment and Ice and Water which acts as another layer of protection against the elements.

Next, it was time for the new sheet metal. Our metal roofs run from top to bottom and each sheet interlocks with each other to ensure that the roof looks as seamless as possible. Comparing the old roof to the new one there is no more rust or leaking gaps and there are no more ugly screws everywhere. The Wood family now has a brand new roof for their main building which not only looks amazing, but it will also keep them safe and dry.
