Hawkeye, IA homeowner, Bethany, contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems becuase she wanted to get her basement waterproofed and finished. She met with design specialist Joe Sarb, who custom designed a solution for Bethany and her needs. The first solution was for waterproofing, which includes full permieter WaterGuard, a TripleSafe Sump Pump, and a buried discharge line. The installation of patented WaterGuard is depicted in these images.

Concrete is a very porous material that allows moisture to pass through and left untreated, can cause mold to grow. CleanSpace is a thick liner that is placed along the walls, stopping moisture from entering the basement, and directing it to a WaterGuard system. WaterGuard will than direct the moisture and water to a sump pump where it will be properly discharged from the home, leaving the basement dry.
