Previous homeowners had installed their own Radon mitigation system, leading to larger issues for the current home owners. They had built a box around the sump pit, using a fan to filter the Radon out of the home. Due to the lack of proper sealing, more Radon was being pulled into the home, rather than being pulled out. A new SuperSump was installed and properly sealed so the proper Radon Mitigation system could pull the Radon out from under the concrete slab, and distributed out of the home. A properly sealed Radon Mitigation system by the professionals at MidAmerica Basement Systems, has created a healthier environment for the new homeowners.

Homeowner Kelly recently purchased her townhome and was looking to do upgrade somethings in her home. She thought it was important to have a radon mitigation system installed in her home to keep it safe. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and she wanted to make sure that she and her home was safe. 

These Eldridge homeowners were concerned about the amount of radon gas in their home. They contacted the experts at MidAmerica Basement Systems, and got in touch with design specialist Clayton Spinler. Along with the new radon mitigation system, the homeowners knew it was wise to keep the gasses out with sealed lids for their sump pumps. The homeowners are happy to contain the toxic gasses.
