Tami and Steve contacted MidAmerica Basement Systems to learn more about  Radon Mitigation. They were worries about radon in the crawlspace that was under their home along within the basement. The radon was leaking in through the crawlspace and also the full basement area. They had a radon mitigation system installed and also had the crawlspace in their home encapsulated. By having this space encapsulated they are adding a barrier to keep the radon out of your home.

Homeowner Kelly recently purchased her townhome and was looking to do upgrade somethings in her home. She thought it was important to have a radon mitigation system installed in her home to keep it safe. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States and she wanted to make sure that she and her home was safe. 

Previous homeowners had installed their own Radon mitigation system, leading to larger issues for the current home owners. They had built a box around the sump pit, using a fan to filter the Radon out of the home. Due to the lack of proper sealing, more Radon was being pulled into the home, rather than being pulled out. A new SuperSump was installed and properly sealed so the proper Radon Mitigation system could pull the Radon out from under the concrete slab, and distributed out of the home.
