A homeowner in East Windsor, New Jersey noticed their stairs on the front porch were sinking. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Chris Bowe, performed an inspection and saw that the concrete was settling into the soil. This can happen because when the soil underneath is too wet or too dry, or even poorly compacted, this creates weak soil. The weak soil cannot hold the weight of the concrete slab, which further causes the slab to settle and sink. Not only does this look unappealing to the home, but it creates a dangerous tripping hazard. Our foreman, Victor Leon, used the PolyLevel Injection to raise the sinking slab. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that is injected by drilling small, penny-sized holes below the slab to raise it back to the original level. Now, the homeowner can walk safely into their home without worrying about tripping.

This homeowner in East Windsor, New Jersey was looking to encapsulate their crawl space. Sealing a crawl space is important because it blocks out moisture and pests from getting in. Our foreman, Esau Aquino, installed this system throughout the crawl space. Now, the homeowner has a dry and healthy space for storage!
This homeowner in East Windsor, New Jersey was experiencing water and moisture getting into their basement. This occurs because the poorly compacted soil around the foundation becomes saturated, creating hydrostatic pressure which causes water to be pushed through the walls. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Dane Cuccinello, provided an inspection and suggested they waterproof the basement. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza installed the CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier which will ensure that moisture does not get into the basement. He also installed the WaterGuard Drain System which is the perfect waterproofing product that collects water and directs it to the sump pump. It is made from plastic so it will never rust, and it's installed above the "mud-zone" so it will never clog with dirt, rocks, and water.
As a homeowner, you take on a lot of responsibility when it comes to your home. Water, moisture, and humidity always target areas of your house and it's important to ensure you are protected. We recommended encapsulation to properly seal this space to stop dampness and moisture from seeping through to prevent damage such as flooding or mold growth. We installed our SilverGlo Insulation Panels to reflect heat and create a more comfortable environment. Then our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System is installed over these panels to prevent drafty floors and odors. Our System Design Specialist, Mike Dellechiaie, Victor Leon, and our team worked together to provide peace of mind to this homeowner and increase the value of their home.
