Dry air in a crawl space is important for several reasons. The humidity is bad for the respiratory health of people who live in the house because the moist air aggravates the symptoms of asthma and allergies. Dry air offers better air quality and a more comfortable environment.

If you dry the air in the crawl space, the air rises throughout the house and makes it dry. In addition, moist air is expensive to cool. A SaniDry dehumidifier like the one we have installed at this customer's house allows you to dry and lighten the air in the crawl space and therefore throughout the house. The insulation helped solve many issues the client had, such as insulating the upper floors from the cold, making the crawlspace clean and letting him use the crawlspace as an additional storage room.

One of our clients living in Anjou had excess humidity within his crawl space. This was alarming as same will affect the quality of air inside the house. The problem

Mr. Turcotte had a wet crawl space that was poorly insulated and some of the wooden beams were starting to rot.

The solution

Insulate the crawl space walls with our SilverGlo panels.

The earthen floor was insulated with our drainage membrane and then our CleanSpace coating. Next, to reduce humidity, we installed a SuperSump sump pump system. It contains a 1 / 3HP cast iron Zoeller pump and we have added a battery pump that works in the event of a power failure and that keeps the sump running. Finally, our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to control the humidity level and filter the air.
