Mr. Demuy has an uninsulated basement with concrete walls and floors. He wanted to use this space to store his personal belongings, but he was worried about the humidity and wanted to insulate his walls from his basement. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec in order to have a reliable and efficient solution.
The solution for our client was to install our Foamax insulation panels on the basement walls. They are made of high performance polyisocyanurate foam coated with a white finish on one side and a vapor barrier on the back. They provide comfort, superior insulation and make your walls look cleaner and brighter.
The FlexiSpan system is a reliable and innovative solution designed to permanently seal foundation wall cracks and prevent water from seeping into basements. FlexiSpan's unique two-part design includes a flexible polyurethane sealant that fills the crack, as well as a drainage channel that redirects any potential seepage to a drainage system. One of its key benefits is its flexibility, allowing it to adjust with foundation movement, unlike traditional rigid sealants. Additionally, it provides long-term waterproofing, ensuring that basements remain dry and protected from mold growth and further structural damage. The homeowner in Sainte-Edwidge was very satisfied with the results, knowing that the crack will no longer be a problem.
The replacement of 2 old and defective pumps with a discharge pipe got blocked over time and destroyed Mr. Guy's pumps.
We had to change the pumps and the entire water pipe and protected the pipe with an IceGuard and a LawnScape Outlet as a guaranteed finish.
An Ultra-Sump battery-powered pumping system was installed with charger/controller box and alarm, a sealed, maintenance-free 120AmpHr battery and new conduit were installed so that the water was discharged through an independent discharge line at the exterior of the house.
Guy enjoys a dry and healthy basement.
An old sump pump is always less powerful and fails to pump out a large amount of water during thaw days. And since our client’s basement was always wet we have replaced his new pump with our company’s sump pump systems.
Our SuperSump pump system evacuates water intercepted away from home and includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement.
Water will permanently damage most porous materials by shrinking or warping them, and mildew will damage them even further.
This is why you always need to waterproof your basement before finishing it.
This house in Vimont had been waterproofed by our team last year.
We have installed 37 feet of WaterGuard interior drain, a SuperSump sump pump system and the CleanSpace vapor barrier membrane to block moisture and redirect the water to the drain.
Thanks to our products, this basement was always dry and healthy!
