Water infiltration can quickly become a nightmare for a homeowner. Unfortunately, this was the case of a resident on the south shore of Montreal, who contacted Basement Systems Quebec in order to have his basement inspected by a specialist. Due to hydrostatic pressure, the water that accumulated around the foundation easily seeped through it and ended up on the basement floor. In order to proceed with finishing the basement in the aim of maximizing his living space, the owner wanted first to make sure to waterproof his basement before beginning any work. Therefore, he decided to call Systèmes Sous-Sol Québec’s experienced technicians to install the WaterGuard interior foundation drain system and the SuperSump sump pump system. Once the installation had been completed, this resident of Boucherville was able to proceed with finishing his basement.

To finish the basement without waterproofing it would have been a bad idea since the risk would have always been present and the water would have infiltrated again and ruined the place.

At the start, we installed the WaterGuard drain under the perimeter of the affected regions. This drain is specially designed to drain the water flowing from the walls, the wall-to-floor, and under-floor joints and redirects it to the pump.

And then we installed The TripleSafe sump pump which is the most efficient pump on the market with 3 existing pumps for more safety.

Finally, we completed this system by installing the IceGuard accessories and LawnScape. The first allows the water to drain even if the pipe freezes in winter and the second lets the water out of the foundation by hiding itself in the grass.

Problem: This Boisbriand customer had an accumulation of water near his sump pump everytime it rained, so he wanted to change his entire system as quickly as possible.

Solution: Our certified specialist installed our TripleSafe pump. It is fitted with two pumps for two different flow levels. So when the first reaches its maximum, the second comes to its aid and pumps the water at a higher rate. Also, this sump pump comes with a battery back-up in case there was a power failure.

This client can now have the peace of mind and can enjoy a dry basement.
