This cozy single family home in Newington, CT had a roof that was starting show signs of aging and wear. A roof replacement was in order and to begin this project we started by removing and disposing of the existing layer of asphalt roofing. Upon inspection of the roof deck, we found 3 damaged sheets of plywood decking, and replaced them accordingly. To ensure weather protection, we then layed down two rows of Ice & Water Barrier as well as a Synthetic Underlayment across the decking to adhere to the roof's surface as well as provide additional water resistance. For shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with Dynasty Architectural Shingles in the Castle Grey colorway. We added some final touches to this project by installing a new exhaust vent hood and vent pipe boot. This house was made new again thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
The roof on this cape was approaching 20 years old, and was in need of replacement. We tore off one layer, removed the existing skylight and filled in the deck with CDX plywood. On top of a triple row of Ice & Water shield, we installed TruDefinition Duration shingles with a patented SureNail technology that guarantees an extremely secure, watertight bond.
We gave this Bloomfield, CT home a full new warrantied roofing system, and recycled the old one, which had consisted of two layers. All vent pipe boots were replaced, along with new flashing on the chimney. Starter shingles were incorporated to waterproof the eave edges, in addition to Ice & Water shield with ProArmor Synthetic underlayment. The shingles on the completed roof are Onyx Black. We always ensure a thorough cleanup of nails and any roofing debris.
These homeowners in Bloomfield had a leak that was pouring in from the back of their house. It was so bad that they put a blue tarp up there to prevent the leak from getting worse. They knew they had to immediately take action and called Klaus Larsen to have their roof replaced. The entire roofing system was torn off and replaced in 1 day. Our installations come with a full warranty and workmanship coverage.
Here was a hipped roof Colonial in Cromwell, CT that had 25 year old shingles. This type of roof slopes down at all sides, toward the walls of the home. It is a great design style, however gutters are needed on each and every side. The wood in the attic was exhibiting signs of moisture permeation, from two laters of deteriorated shingles which had been installed on top of one another. There was some visible black algae streaking on these shingles as well. We installed a single layer of Owens Corning shingles, nailed into both a tear resistant underlayment, as well as Ice & Water shield. As a part of this job, we kept the attic turbine exhaust on and flashed around it. A debris receptacle is provided for all jobs, and all asphalt shingles that we remove are recycled. We also ensure that every single nail is removed from the property.
