This roof in Marlborough, CT turned out beautifully. It was estimated that the old shingles were approximately sixteen years old, and were showing their age with dark algae streaks running across the asphalt. During construction, the multi-gabled structure had several edges that needed to be properly accounted for with flashing. The color blend of the new shingles perfectly complements this homes trim and siding color.
This ranch home in Marlborough, CT had a roof that was about 25 years old with excessive leaking around the skylights. We stripped the old shingles, to start fresh at the decking. All of our disposed of asphalt is brought to a facility to be processed into recycled road asphalt. After tear off, we installed a brown aluminum drip edge and three rows of Owens Corning Ice & Water shield, for an impermeable barrier against precipitation. The ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment is installed beneath the shingles, which is another layer of water repellant material. We replaced the skylights with Velux Skylights, and flashed them to prevent any future leaking. The finished roof is finished with Brownwood shingles, as part of a complete Owens Corning roofing system.
When we replaced the roof here in Marlborough, the owners also wanted better ventilation. We installed two attic fans to help remove the excess heat from the attic. This will reduce ice dams and cool the home in the Winter. The shingles were Owens Corning Duration Estate Gray.
This 1970's ranch-style home located in Marlborough, CT was in need of a new roof replacement. This home was equipped with old single tabbed shingles, which don't last as long as new architectural style shingles. We stripped the existing roof and laid down new plywood decking to support the structure of the home. We then laid down Ice & Water Shield and ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment to protect the home from any moisture from the outside elements. For new shingles we used, Owens Corning TruDefintion Duration Shingles in the color Driftwood. This home needed a new bathroom exhaust vent hood with a built-in damper which includes a new flex duct from the fan to the hood. The small chimney on this home also needed some new lead flashing to prevent any future leaks from entering the home.
Due to it's age, this home in Essex, CT needed a new roof. We started this job by tearing away one layer of existing roofing material and disposing of it properly. We then inspected the roof deck and discovered 3 damaged sheets of plywood decking which we replaced. Next, we installed two rows of TriBuilt Ice & Water Barrier as well as a Synthetic Underlayment to better protect the home from the elements. For shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System using IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the Charcoal Grey colorway. To finish up the job, we installed a new chimney flashing and vent pipe boot. This home is now complete thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
